Family Learning

Our latest familiy learning event was hosted by Mrs Dunn. This session was for our families on e-Safety. It was a very successful event and the families are now more aware of what the children learn in school regarding staying safe on the internet. They learnt how they can keep their children safe, particularly as they grow older and begin to use social networking sites. Different strategies and tips were discussed to keep their own online accounts safe and private. One of of parents commented that it had been helpful because there was 'lots of info to keep the kids safe while exploring things online.

Mrs Dunn has been busy working with lots of families here at Christ Church. She has run a very successful and popular after school cookery club for parents and their children. There has been lots of positive feedback and some very tasty healthy meals that the children have chosen to make.

Remember that Mrs Dunn can refer your child to speech therapy, the school nurse and the health visitor with any concerns you may have regarding your child's development. Mrs Dunn can also take time with you to work on strategies to manage behaviour, bed wetting and any other issues you amy have with your child.

Mrs Dunn is also running sessions to share your views on our school through Ofsted's Parent View website. Remember our school has an open door policy so if you any concerns please come to see us as soon as possible so that we can work it through together. You and your child are part of our family and we want the best for you all.
